Tenzin Dolker Photography

Project Description

Tenzin Dolker is a Tibetan exile born and raised in a Tibetan Refugee Camp in South India. Previous to beginning her passion as a photographer, she was a co-founder of Dharamshala Dance Arts where she managed the day-to-day activities of the center and taught Bollywood dance and yoga.

Dolker also served as a career consultant for the Tibetan youth in Dharamshala under US AID grant and the Grassroots Director of the Indian chapter of Students for a Free Tibet.

She has been actively involved in the Tibetan freedom movement and has been dedicated to her activism in general.

Photography gave a voice to her intricate nature, a space to explore, learn, question and accept her very own existence by observing, documenting people and culture, streets and uncertain quietness of everyday lives.

She resides in India and US and currently lives in New Orleans.
